DERT Achieves OFSC Accreditation

DERT Achieves OFSC Accreditation  under the Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme

7 April 2017 – Deconstruction, Explosives and Remediation Technologies (DERT) has achieved accreditation under the Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme.

The Scheme enables the Australian Government to use its influence as a client and provider of capital to foster improved occupational health and safety industry standards. For DERT, a key benefit of this accreditation is the ability to tender for, and undertake high value head contracts funded by the Commonwealth Government.

After receiving confirmation of the accreditation, DERT Director Connor Walsh praised the collaborative effort of DERT’s Health and Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) team. “This accreditation is the result of the development and implementation of a best practice management system that has withstood the rigours of government audit. OFSC accreditation is recognised within the building and construction industry as the pinnacle of safety performance so our team should be proud of what they have achieved.”

DERT Director Simon Gill said that the attainment of OFSC accreditation was a reflection of DERT’s commitment to world class safety and environmental standards and industry leading practices. “This accreditation demonstrates that our management system is robust and that it meets the high standards of the scheme. It reflects our dedication to excellent safety, environmental and quality practices in the delivery of complex remediation projects.”
